Pastor’s Profile

Rev. Dr. Alfred Ofosu-Asante (who usually goes by the name “Pastor Asante”) came to know Christ as his personal Savior on October 08, 1977. He completed four years of theological studies under Baptist Mid-Missions at Baptist Bible Institute, Wa, Ghana in 1985. He became pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he is still pastoring, in November 1985. In April 1987, Pastor Asante married his wife Anna, and the Lord has blessed them with two children. Pastor Asante continued his education, completing both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree at the University of Ghana. In 2007 he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by the South India Baptist Bible College and Seminary, in India. He also received his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2016 from the Solid Rock Baptist Bible College & Seminary in Ghana. Pastor Asante is Bible college teacher, as well as a counsellor. In addition, he is an effective expository preacher, with the desire to disciple Christian preachers to maturity in Christ, and at the same time make the Gospel clear to the unsaved. In order to achieve this aim, he founded God Is Able Pastoral Ministry in March 2020. This ministry seeks to enable pastors develop themselves spiritually, so that they can serve their families and churches better, and to provide personal and spiritual encouragement.
