Ambassadors for Christ (AFC)
This is the senior youth group in the church, catering for youth between the ages of 18 and 21. The goal is to teach young people within the church to continue trusting and growing in their relationship with God. This experience will propel them to be faithful to Christ in all they do. Opportunities to build skills and confidence are embedded in the programme.
Objectives
- That each member will come to appreciate the importance and necessity of good works as the most vital sign of being a Christian;
- To maintain the faithful, bring in the failing, win the lost and increase our numbers.
- To engage and encourage members to take part in events, seminars, workshops, and activities that will go a long way in their personal Christian and social development.
- To build members, who are actively glorifying and showing the world that they are Christians, concerned about each other, active in one church ministry e.g. Sunday school, RBY, Evangelism, YFC, Bible study and Prayer meetings, ushering and virtually winning a soul for Christ at every moment and opportunity.
- To contribute cheerfully and regularly in tithes and offerings to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor and the spread of the Gospel through all nations.
- To raise members who are living a decent disciplined and holy life in and outside the church and are prayer focused.
- To organize monthly prayer meeting sessions, as well as quarterly mass-evangelism programmes.
- To help each member to get a job, through which he or she can support others in need and the church’s and AFC’s activities.
